The European Association for Cooperation with Palestine (ASECOP) is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation without political affiliation, established in January 2003 with the aim of building a channel of solidarity with the Palestinian people and promote the achievement of a better future. 

In early 2009, ASECOP (Palestine) was registered as an NGO in the Ministry of Interior of the Palestinian Authority to consolidate the efforts being made in basic social sectors in the Palestinian Territories.

Mission: 

ASECOP is working towards the socioeconomic, cultural and political development of the Palestinian people, through the implementation of projects and programs of international cooperation. 

ASECOP coordinates its efforts with community organizations and Palestinian NGOs, without any discrimination on grounds of religion, race, ethnicity, gender, etc.. 

ASECOP sectors of intervention: 

Human Rights: 

All human beings are born free and equal, in dignity and in rights. ASECOP is working to spread democratic values, human rights and peacebuilding. 

Sustainable economic development: 

ASECOP pays special attention to projects and programs focused on improving the economic situation of the Palestinian people, respecting the principle of environmental sustainability. 

Education Sector: 

The education sector is considered the backbone of Palestinian society, its main function being to educate the next generation to achieve social change and just peace in Palestine. 

Health sector: 

One of the priorities is to improve the Palestinian health system, which is hindered in its ability to serve the population as a consequence of the restrictions, blockades, etc. 

Strengthening Palestinian institutions and NGOs: 

ASECOP is working to expand resources and technical capacities of Palestinian institutions and NGOs, to fulfill their goal of meeting the basic needs of vulnerable groups. 

Awareness and Education for Development: 

ASECOP is spreading the cause of the Palestinian people and make the public aware of the reality of the Palestinian - Israeli conflict on all levels (national, regional, international, etc.). 

Projects Emergency and Humanitarian Action: 

Every so often, in the Palestinian Territories, emergency humanitarian crisis erupt, before which ASECOP gives an answer on the ground, through the implementation of humanitarian projects.
